I've also started limiting the number of TV-show's episodes I allow myself to watch before I tell myself to go and write or - if I'm too tired - to take up a book.Farida Mestekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18387474593734284763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4953969083444434379.post-58678338088840174862016-01-27T00:16:09.889-08:002016-01-27T00:16:09.889-08:00Ugh, I feel you so much. Just, they have a terrible habit of getting in the way when we're actually supposed to be writing. For me, the way I've been getting past them is to first accept that I'm going to be checking Twitter and Facebook during my writing sessions, and then I build that in. Some days, when I'm doing well, I might decide I can check social media after finishing a scene. And some days it's more like even couple of hundred words or so. Either way, I can often use it to motivate myself. Though I find that with the worst ones, like YouTube, I really have to stay as far away as possible. There is no such thing as a short break on there.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05746017057593508370noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4953969083444434379.post-50854453811703282682016-01-26T03:51:23.534-08:002016-01-26T03:51:23.534-08:00Thank you for stopping by! But I really want to change that this year! In watching the TV shows, I always use the excuse that I'm using them as inspiration and studying their craft. ;-) Now....on to another distraction....I mean write!S.P.
